Question 1. Any specific strategies to help monetize adsense type sites using high paying and high clickrate keywords? There is a lot of material on the net. I was wondering about your opinion on the best way to structure sites for maximum revenue using Keyword Elite to structure ths site.

Yes, there are many unique ways of using Keyword Elite to help create your Adsense style websites. In fact, Keyword Elite is the very best at generating a big keyword list specifically for those Adsense style websites. Let's run through a couple ways that I personally use Keyword Elite to help create my Adsense websites.

Option 1: You may have seen many companies selling, what they call, "high paying Adsense keyword lists". Just go to Google and type that in:

http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-21,GGLD:en&q=high+paying+adsense+list

You'll see that there are many websites that are devoted ONLY to displaying these high paying Adsense lists. And quite a few websites actually selling these lists!

Now, the great thing about Keyword Elite is you can create your own high paying Adsense keyword list, and it's SUPER easy!

Here's what you would do:

First, run project 1, titled "create keyword list". In this example let's build our list off of the keyword "insurance". So, I'll enter the keyword "insurance" into step 2.

Next I'll select the method of finding keywords. Here I'll only select Ask.com. Selecting this option is the fastest way to build a large keyword list.

In step 4, I'll select to return 1000 keywords. Then I'll click "ok"

When Keyword Elite is done processing I'll click on the "report view" tab and then the "Edit list tab" located on the bottom left hand side of Keyword Elite.

Next, I'll click on the top keyword in the list... Scroll to the bottom of the list and click the bottom keyword, while holding the SHIFT key on my keyboard. This will select all of the keywords and they will be highlighted as shown below:

Next, I'll right-click my mouse and select the option "send keywords to project 2". Project 2 is titled "Analyze PPC competition".

Because we are only concerned about creating a high paying Adsense keyword list, we'll uncheck all of the search engines except Google, from step 3. And then under step 4, we'll uncheck everything except for "Google Exact match".

All of the other data in step 4 is very valuable information, but because we really only want to know how much money people are bidding for these Adwords keywords, we'll only check the "Google Exact match" option.

Then we'll click "ok" and let Keyword Elite do its thing...

Next, we'll click the report view tab. We'll scroll to the right until we see the Adwords CPC (exact match) column. This column tells us roughly how much the top paying Adwords advertisers are paying, per click, for each of these keywords.

We'll want to sort this column in descending order, so we can see the highest paying keyword at the top.

The way Adsense works, is the more money that advertisers are paying, per click, for the keyword in Adwords, the MORE money you'll be paid via Adsense, for displaying their ad on your site via Adsense! So... the goal here is to select those keywords from the top of the list, that are costing advertisers the most per click.

Ok, so after we sort the column in descending order, you can see that the keyword " " is the most expensive keyword on the list. What we can then do is go back into Project 1, "create a keyword list", and do just that... Create our keyword list based off of this 1 high paying keyword.

We'll do just as we did before by using the Ask.com option, but this time, we'll raise the slider in step 4 up to roughly 2 or 3 thousand.

Click "ok" and Keyword Elite will create our list of keywords, based on this high paying Adsense keyword we found earlier.

From here, we could either:

Use the 2,000+ keyword list that Keyword Elite generates, and plug it into some web page generation software like Directory Generator

Take the top, say 45 highest paying keywords from the sorted list of keywords you created earlier, and either write 1 article based around each keyword, yourself, OR hire a freelance writer from Elance.com to write the articles for you.

Once you have your site created, slap some Adsense up on the website and you're set to start making money with Google Adsense!

If you don't have an Adsense account, you can sign up for a free account by clicking on the image to the right.

Option 2: We kind of covered this option above, but I want to mention it briefly again, incase it slipped by you the first time around. I mentioned that many people online are either creating websites to display high paying Adsense keyword lists OR they're even selling these lists for profit. Now, what you can do with Keyword Elite, is you can create your own high paying list. With these high paying Adsense lists, you can create many niche websites containing content revolving around the high paying keywords...

OR

You can do as these other people are doing and you can actually sell these lists and start up your own little business!

OR

You can create your own "high paying Adsense list website" and attract search engine traffic and visitors by simply displaying these lists on your website. Slap some of your own Adsense ads up on your website, and you'll be earning some Adsense income in no time!

Here's an example of a website doing just this:

http://keywords.maxlinks.org/

You'll notice that their adsense ads are blended well into the top of the web page. I found this website by going to Google and entering the words "high paying Adsense Keyword"... This is how they get traffic to their website. Once the traffic is there, someone might click on their Adsense ads, and then they earn commission that way. Brilliant... and something that you can and should be doing!

Question 2. Can you give me a step by step precise guide for digging out a list of profitable keyword list for AdSense publishers from a root keyword? For example I want a site on 'medical software' - how do I get a list of keywords associated with it from KE.

Sure, you'll simply want to run project 1. Then enter your main keyword "medical software". I would probably select ONLY Ask.com from step 3. Then would select 1,000, or so, from step 4.

Next I would click ok. Then click the report view tab, and then the "Edit list" tab located at the bottom left. Then I would wait until the list has been created.

Next I would click on the top keyword. Scroll down to the bottom keyword, and while holding the shift key, I'd click on the bottom keyword. This will highlight all of the keywords.

I would then either "right-click" my mouse and select "copy" OR would click the "export as TXT" button located on the bottom right hand side to export all of those keywords into a nice little text file.

And that's all there is to it!

Question 3. When using project 5 I can never find a competitor's URL that I can get info from.

Once you have chosen a market for your product, you should know who your competition is. Without knowing your main competitors, you have no way of "on upping" their services and beating them in the marketplace. If, for some reason, you don't know who your competitors are, I would suggest taking these steps to find a URL to "start" with...

First, go to Google and enter your main keyword phrase. Hopefully you have at least 1 main keyword that you think people looking for your service would search for. In this example, we'll use "insurance".

Then, you'll want to look at the top Adwords ads. I would typically then take one of the top 3 Adwords ad URLs and use that as a good starting point. In this example, we'd use the URL NetQuote.com

Then we'd simply go back into Keyword Elite.

Start up project 5.

Click the "new project" button.

Select a name for our project. I typically use the main keyword as the name of the project. Just choose something that you can easily remember. We'll use "Insurance" as our project name.

Click ok, and then click the "edit project" button.

Ok, now from here we'll need to enter the URL we want to monitor, which in this case is netquote.com. So we'll enter this URL into Keyword Elite.

Then we'll need to enter the keywords we want to check to see if this website is currently bidding on. I would suggest using project 1 to create a gigantic keyword list of related keywords to the word "Insurance". So, I'd run project 1. Enter the word "Insurance" and then create a keyword list of 5,000+ keywords. Then I'd simply paste them into project 5.

Ok, once we've added our keywords by clicking on the "add keywords..." button, we'll click ok.

The last step is to run Keyword Elite. So, we'll click the "run now" button and Keyword Elite will begin checking each and every keyword to see if the URL you entered is currently bidding on that keyword.

What you can do in the future is click the "scheduler" button and set Keyword Elite to check those keywords once a day, for as long as you want. The longer the website is bidding on the keywords, the greater the chance that the keyword is profitable, making them lots of money :-)

You can then take those keywords and use them for your very own Adwords campaign.

Question 4. Can I use keyword elite with a url that I put in and see what keywords they are using? I know that I can type in a url and keywords to see if they are using that one, but I would love to be able to see all the keywords that my competitors are using.

Unfortunately that's not possible. This information is private information that only Google knows. Although, I can tell you that there is a free web-based application that will give you a few of the keywords that a competitor is bidding on. The website is called googspy.com and you can visit their site here: www.googspy.com

Question 5. Are the keywords in the program for SEO or for pay-per-click advertising or both?

The keywords that Keyword Elite generates can, and should be used for both purposes.

In regards to SEO purposes, here is a plan I would suggest you doing.

First open Keyword Elite and select project 1 "create a keyword list". In step 2, you should input the main keyword that you "think" you want to use to advertise your website. For example, if your website gives people tips on gardening, a keyword you might start off with would be "gardening".

So, let's enter that keyword into Keyword Elite.

Next we'll select the Overture option in step 3 and then move the slider down to 100 in step 4.

We want Keyword Elite to build us a list of releated words to the keyword "gardening", but we don't want a gigantic list just yet... Overture will give us a very related list of keywords to the term we enter. So we'll select only 100 keywords. Then click "ok".

Ok, once Keyword Elite is finished processing, we can click the "report view" tab. Then, click the "edit tab" located on the bottom left hand side of the screen. From here we'll want to select all the keywords we want to further analyze.

What we're going to do is take several of these keywords over to Project 2, to find out just how much traffic these keywords would send us, if we had top "search engine rankings" AND/OR advertised with these words via Google Adwords or other pay per click methods.

So, what I would suggest doing is clicking on the top keyword in the list. Then scroll down a bit and click on, say, the 20th keyword from the top, by holding the SHIFT key on your keyboard and clicking the 20th keyword from the top. This will allow you to select the top 20 keywords in the list.

Next, right-click on your mouse and select "send keywords to project 2" from the popup menu.

This will do just that, it will copy your keywords to project 2, so that you can do some further analysis on the keywords.

You'll notice that all of the keywords have been automatically added to step 2 for us.

Next we'll select ALL of the search engines from step 3. We want to get as much information about these keywords as we can. Under step 4 we'll select KEI, Top Bids, and Google broad match. Then we'll click "ok"

Ok, now after we click "ok", Keyword Elite will begin to gather all kinds of information about our keywords.

If we click on the "report view" located on the top right hand side of Keyword Elite, we can see the various information that Keyword Elite is gathering for us.

Specifically note the "searches column". This column will tell us roughly how many visitors to expect to visit our website, per month, if we had a top ranking in the Overture.com searfch engine. If you want to calculate roughly how many visitors you would get if you had a top Google ranking for that keyword, multiply that number by 7.

This is a great way to gauge whether it's worth the effort of optimizing our website for that keyword. On a side note, if you are interested in learning more about how to optimize your website for the search engines, I would recommend taking a look at our other product, SEO Elite.

Ok, back to the task at hand. Next I would click on the "searches column" to sort the list in descending order. Showing you the keyword with the most traffic at the top. You can see below that if you ranked #1 in Google for the search term "gardening", you would expect roughly 1,574,461 (224,923 x 7) visitors, per month, to your website!

A word of advice, and I won't go into SEO too much here, because SEO Elite is geared towards the SEO aspect of things, whereas, Keyword Elite is more focused on the PPC side of the equation... but I will tell you that if your website is fairly new, less than 6 months to a year old, I wouldn't select the top keyword to optimize for.

It's much easier to rank well for longer keyword phrases, than it is to rank well for 1 word keywords like "gardening". So... I would suggest choosing 1-3 of the other keywords that Keyword Elite generated for you when you're first starting out.

There's quite of bit of other information you'll notice within Keyword Elite as well... For example, the R/S Ratio column is a great indication of how profitable a niche could be.

What I would suggest doing is clicking on the R/S Ratio column to sort the list in ascending order...

When we do this, we can see that the keyword "hydroponics gardening" has a very low R/S ratio. This means that there are very few people advertising for this keyword... YET it's being searched a lot. This is the perfect niche area to create a website around, because it has low competition and a "hungry crowd" just waiting to buy your products!

If we scroll to the right, we can see the Adwords CPC column, as well as the Adwords clicks, and position columns. For example, this will tell us if we had a #1 "Adwords" ranking for the top keyword below, we would expect to pay between $1.06 and $1.33 everytime someone clicked our ad, and we could expect to receive between 197 and 247 clicks per day if we bid on this keyword.

This is a GREAT indication as to whether or not it's worth bidding on that keyword. You can also see the number of other people advertising via Google Adwords, for that keyword, as listed under the "Google Campaigns" column. Typically, the best keywords are the ones that have around 8-13 advertisers.

A word of advice, if there are very few advertisers, meaning less than 3... Chances are, the word is not profitable. It means that people have tried advertising with the keyword and couldn't make it profitable, so they stopped bidding on the keyword... So, don't make the same mistake as them. Keyword Elite is great at saving you money by viewing the data BEFORE you waste your money on something that's definitely not giong to be profitable.

If you scroll further to the right, you'll see much more information about each of the Pay Per Click search engines you selected (Yahoo, Miva, Enhance).

Also, if you click on a row in the top frame, you'll see a listing of all of the websites bidding on that keyword, in the bottom frame. As shown below:

Please note that Google and Yahoo will not permit anyone to display each website's exact bid amount... Although, Miva and Enhance will.

Ok, so that's 1 way that you can use Keyword Elite for SEO and PPC purposes...

Another way you could use Keyword Elite for SEO purposes is the following:

Ok, remember above, we found the keyword "hydroponics gardening" as a potentially good niche market to exploit. So, the next step is to run project 4, which will give us a great idea as to how competitive and tough it will be to get a top search engine ranking for that keyword.

We'll enter "hydroponics gardening" into step 2. Under step 3, we'll leave the default set to 5... This will tell Keyword Elite to only look at the top 5 ranked websites in Google for that search term.

Then we'll click "ok".

Next, click the report view tab to view the results... Next, you'll want to click on the top keyword, which will then display all of the top 5 ranked websites in the lower frame, as shown below:

From here, you can see their Google Page Rank. Next, we'll click on the "details" link located to the right of each of the websites.

When we do this, we'll see a detailed report about each of the websites. We'll be able instantly see if they've purposely optimized their website for the search engines, OR if they've just gotten their ranking out of pure luck.

If we click the "details link" for the top ranked website, we see a screen like the one shown above. Keyword Elite will give you a "yes" or "no" telling you whether this website is using the keyword in various locations on their website.

If you don't know what an H1 tag, Title tag, Bold tag, etc. is... I highly recommend you sign up for my free SEO course at: www.seoelite.com/seocourse/ . In lesson 1, you'll quickly learn how to read this report, and you'll know what all of those tags mean.

But for the purposes of answering this question, let me just say that the more "Yes's" you see here, the tougher it's going to be to get a top search engine ranking for the keyword. The more "No's", the easier it should be to beat out these sites and rank higher than them.

So, those are a few of the many ways you can use Keyword Elite for both SEO and pay-per-click advertising.

Question 6. How do we know how much traffic selected keywords have when we use project 1 and 3?

Projects 1 and 3 are to be used to create your keyword list. Once you have your keyword lists created. Simply click on the keywords you want to analyze further. Hold CONTROL or SHIFT on your keyboard while clicking on multiple keywords, to select more than 1 keyword at a time.

Once they're selected, right-click your mouse and select the option that says "send keywords to project 2". This will place those keywords into project 2 and allow you to do an in depth analysis on each of those keywords.

You'll be able to see how much traffic those keywords will bring you, as well as many other things.

Question 7. It may be the 'f'orest for trees' syndrome but I cannot for the life of me see a straight forward way to get the competitive positions of a lot of keywords. I can see how you can do it on 100 keywords with your system but what about a 1000 keywords in Google for instance - how do you find that? Just for clarity, I would be looking for these keywords to create articles to attract traffic to my site.

Ok, first thing's first... If you're going to be personally writing articles based on the keywords that Keyword Elite generates. I would suggest NOT generating 1,000 keywords. You should generate very tightly targeted keyword lists of only 25-100 keywords maximum.

I would suggest using Project 1 to create your keyword list. Let's do a quick example. I'll run project 1 and enter the keyword "insurance".

Then I'll select the Overture search engine ONLY. Overture is great at creating a small keyword list that is very targeted to the main keyword you entered.

In step 4, I'll move the slider to 100 results and click ok.

Ok, now I have 2 options. I can either export this list as an html, csv, or text file and use it as a reference to create each of my articles.

OR

and this is what I would suggest doing, I could select all of the keywords from the list. Then "right-click" on the mouse and select "send keywords to project 2"

Then I'll do an analysis on each of these keywords to determine which of them are highest paying Adsense keywords. To do this analysis, I'll select the following:

Notice I've only selected Google in step 3, and I've left all fields blank in step 4, and only selected Google broad match in step 5.

Because we're only interested in finding out which of our keywords are the highest paying Adsense keywords, I'm leaving everything else out of the report for now.

Once we click ok, we'll click the report view. Then click the column titled "Adwords CPC (broad match)" to sort the keywords in descending order, with the highest paying keyword at the top of the list. When we do this, Keyword Elite will look like this:

You can see that the top keyword "auto insurance online" has an Adwords CPC of between $40.47 and $50.99 per click. This means that people advertising via Google Adwords for this keyword, are paying that much every single time someone clicks on their ad. That's an insanely high amount! With this information, you know that this would be a high paying Adsense keyword...

and a great keyword to base one of your article around. The way Adsense works, is you'll place some Google Adsense ads on your website. If a visitor clicks the ad, you get paid a percentage of what it cost the advertiser to display theit ad around that keyword. So, in this case, you'd get paid a percentage of the $40.47-$50.99 that the advertiser is paying Google to advertise that keyword.

It makes sense to write articles based on high paying Adsense keywords.

With that being said, what I would do is select the top, say, 25 keywords from the list and I would write articles based on each of those keywords.

Then, I would slap some Google Adsense ads on each page and then make a nice little Adsense commission each and every month :-)

If you don't have an Adsense account, you can sign up for a free account by clicking on the image to the right.

Question 8. I would like to know who to check the keyword density of on page keywords quickly both my pages and competitors pages. Anchor link text keywords strategy, how to use KE to exploit this.

Keyword Elite really isn't a tool that will check keyword density and anchor text etc. Keyword Elite isn't a search engine optimization tool. Although, project 4 of Keyword Elite will give you a general idea as to how competitive the market is, in terms of ranking well in the search engines, it's not necessarily a tool to be used for extensive search engine optimization research.

With that being said, SEO Elite, our other very popular software product IS the best of the best when it comes to search engine optimization and helping you rank better in the search engines.
